Sidemount diving Instructor
At the ProTec Playa del Carmen Dive Center we offer Sidemount Instructor training through our PSAI in-house Instructor Trainer to the levels of Openwater Sidemount Instructor and Advanced Cave Sidemount Instructor. Assisting training programs is an integral part of Instructor development. The more Sidemount courses you can assist with the most versatile Instructors the more successfull you will be as a Sidemount Instructor. That is particular true and importand for the Advanced Cave Sidemount Instructor rating.
All of our staff are Sidemount cave divers and all of our Cave Instructors are Openwater Sidemount Instructors and most are Sidemount Cave Instructors. We have published a number of good articles on our Blog relating to Openwater Sidemount diving and Cave Sidemount diving. Please have a look.
Openwater Sidemount Instructor
Prerequisites: Advanced Nitrox Instructor, Openwater Sidemount diver with 150 logged dives. Of those 150 logged dives 40 hours on Sidemount and 21 years of age or older.
Advanced Cave Sidemount Instructor
Prerequisites: Technical Cave Instructor, Advanced Cave Sidemount diver with 300 dives, 200 logged cave dives, 50 non training Sidemount cave dives. Must have taught a minimum of 5 full cave diver courses and 21 years of age or older.
